About this edition

This web guide is designed to be easier to find, easier to update and easier to study than a PDF-only theory manual. Each lesson is indexable, linked to source references and supported with diagrams where a picture makes the concept easier to understand.

This first public edition focuses on the study material, source mapping and publication notes, with source checks recorded lesson by lesson.

Dedicated to Bob Tait

Dedicated to my good mate Bob, who helped me get my start in aviation.

Ben Harris, Co-founder, National Drones

This study guide supports learning. It is not legal advice and does not replace current CASA, Airservices or approved operator procedures. The public practice questions are newly written study checks, not a CASA exam bank.

Study pathway

Rebuilt around the current MOS units

Each unit page is indexable, cross-linked and mapped back to the MOS references used for this first release.

Complete your Remote Pilot Licence training

The free study guide is a strong theory foundation. To actually be issued with a RePL, students still complete approved training, practical flying and assessment with a certified provider.
