Three local wind effects, chosen with the Effect buttons. Slope winds: a side view of a valley and a hillside through a day and a night. By day warm air rises up the sun-heated slope (anabatic wind); at night cold, dense air drains down the slope under gravity and pools in the valley (katabatic wind). Channelling: a view from above of wind blowing between two hills; the flow squeezes through the gap and speeds up, then spreads out again. Turbulence: a side view of wind blowing over a building; on the downwind side the flow breaks into eddies and gusts, and a drone there is bounced around while a drone upwind holds steady. The turbulence pattern is schematic.
